Military transport plane crashed in Russia

Stockholm, March 12 (Hibya) – Russia's IL-76 military transport aircraft crashed in the Ivanovo region near Moscow. Videos showing how the plane lost height while burning are circulating on social media.

According to the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, there were 15 people on the plane, including 7 passengers and 8 crew members.

The Ministry of Defense told state news agency Ria that the incident was caused by a fire that broke out in one of the plane's engines shortly after takeoff.

The fate of the people on the plane is still unclear, but according to preliminary evaluations, it is estimated that 15 people died in the incident.
